  peter pevensie, the magnificent king

quecksilvereyes:

And it was the four Kings and Queens of Old who brought spring and warmth back to our home, their child hands trembling and their voices high in their throats.
To the East and its waters; Queen Lucy, the Valiant, who never grew tall, who was always small and smiling and deadly, with hair like golden thread.
To the West and its forests; King Edmund, the Just, whose head was always bowed, his tongue as silver as his crown, his hands quick and precise where the Magnificent King could not be.
To the South and our sun; Queen Susan, the Gentle, the most beautiful woman who ever set foot into Narnia, her hair as long as she was tall, her lips a cherry red, always smiling as she governed Cair Paravel.
And finally, to the North and its skies; King Peter, the Magnificent, the boy turned man, with trembling hands and a soft heart. It was King Peter who was most mystified and is now a tale more than he is a man.
(disclaimer: this last hc is @calormen ’s and ive adopted it bc i love it and bc weve been talking about narnia a lot, go and give him some love!)
